The all-school orientation meeting this year was noisy, fun and informative. Thanks for coming, bringing great food, sharing summer stories and rifling through all the paperwork that we all have now completely committed to memory.
For those of you who were unable to make it, here are the highlights:
Malia, Facilities chair, reminded us of the Fall Work Party. They need a truck to use that day. If you have one they can use, please let Malia know.
Misty and Shannon shared what BFCP meant to them and their children. , They reminded us that enrolling our children in preschools, we are asking them to take risks. We want them to try art and make friends and step out of their comfort zone. By enrolling our children in a cooperative preschool, we parents must also take risks by getting out of our comfort zone, meeting new people, and trying new things. They concluded by saying that their participation in our school has encouraged them to take risks as leaders at the elementary school level. Together they are leading an art program for the elementary school.
Nikole and Juhee gave a brief overview of the fundraising programs we are doing this spring: Yankee Candle and Chinook Book. Please be sure you receive your fundraising packets, and return them to the mud room when you are finished with them. All Fall fundraising materials need to be back by October 20th. Notably, this year there is a prize for the top seller.
Class meetings took up the later part of the orientation. See your class coordinator for details as to what happened during your meeting.
